Reviews job orders in Kanban and prioritizes work.
Operates forklift as needed.
Changes sand paper as needed.
Sets the planer/sander through the command terminal to run material without running a program.
Selects appropriate program and sets for feed speed as well as thickness of material.
Addresses any error messages to ensure the machine continues running.
Procures materials to be sanded.
Loads materials into planer sander.
Unloads planer sander and stocks finished materials.
Checks thickness with calipers and for any other quality issues.
Corrects any problems with the planer/sander machine to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Replaces cutter blades as needed.
Removes the cutter heads to change all blades every 6 months and/or completes preventative maintenance.
Cleans and greases planer sander as scheduled.
Adjusts pressure on tensioning roller on planer sander as needed to ensure the sandpaper runs true.
Runs planer/sander in an efficient and cost-effective manner adjusting as needed/required.
Completes all necessary paperwork.
